Desserts with Barbara

Dates: September – November 13, 2017

Day: Monday
Time: 3:30 to 4:30 PM
Place: Willow Creek Academy school kitchen
Price: $215 for 8 weekly sessions.

Kids love desserts and yours will learn how to make some of the most delicious classics in this this class. Think apple crumble, macaroons, red velvet cupcakes, poached pears with chocolate sauce, lemon meringue pie, pumpkin-ginger mousse, pear clafouti and Thanksgiving pumpkin pie.

This is one delicious, irresistible series!

Cooking International with Barbara

Dates: September 20 – November 8, 2017

Day: Wednesday
Time: 3:30 to 4:30 PM
Place: Willow Creek Academy school kitchen
Price: $215 for 8 weekly sessions.

Your kids will explore all aspects of the kitchen with international cuisine in the spotlight. Along the way, they will learn basic skills and techniques as well as how to use herbs and spices. That’ll come in handy when they prepare divine dishes like Mexican tacos Dorado, Indian aloo-tikkies with chutney—and mango lassies, Italian torta di rizo con fagioli (rice and green beans torta), American corn-cheddar soup, Salvadoran papusas with traditional cabbage salad, Italian patate fagioli (potatoes and green beans with pesto sauce), Japanese cucumber-avocado sushi and American Thanksgiving turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy.
